How are we already halfway through the year? We’ve had a busy first half of the year and time really has flown in the office.

With numerous new team members coming on board and several new business ventures. Advance have smashed the year so far. We thought it would be a good time to reintroduce you to our services as it’s not too late to start looking at upping your business development. Plus here’s a look at what we’ve been up to so far this year plus a round up of May at Advance Group.

Company News/May Update

Where do we start? Since January began, we’ve taken on a whole host of new team members. Sadly, we’ve also said goodbye to two of our longer-term employees although we wish both Mike Dunn and Arron Street all the best in their new adventures.

Our ventures include a media partnership with The Concrete Jungle, a new challenge with JST Contracting and another exciting opportunity that will no doubt become clear very soon.

The month of May saw a group of us head down to the FIT Show and it was a great day out. Plenty of networking, meeting up with new clients and old, and a good look around the fenestration industries key players this year.

For CGG (Construction Growth Generator) the two account managers taken on during April are both working incredibly hard, generating leads and pricing enquiries for clients.

April at Advance Group

Advance TM Group have had another great month. Although we’ve not ventured to too many events during April, we’ve had a fair few meetings around the UK and we’ve been keeping busy in the office.

We had an Easter incentive running and there was a lot of excitement around. The Easter bunny (Directors) even made sure that every staff member went home with a treat before the bank holiday arrived.


Once again as the business begins to expand rapidly, the Advance team has continued to grow. Following our new recruits in March, April saw the addition of George Farrell and Steve Steele as account managers and settling in to the team.

Following the partnership with The Concrete Jungle as a media partner within the construction industry, Advance TM Group have been busy with more ventures. This time in the form of a new business JST Contracting.

Director highlights

Both Mike and Simon shared the highlights for April as they were both involved in a few big changes last month.

The venture with The Concrete Jungle is well underway and the development of the website and sustainable construction magazine has well and truly begun.

Alongside that a new business venture in the form of JST Contracting, a partnership with the directors of Construction Growth Generator and Stuart Terrace of JST. This is an exciting time for the team and all of the businesses within the group.

CCG (Construction Growth Generator)

CCG has continued to grow this month with some great new clients on board. We now have two account managers on the team full time for CGG and between them they’ve already managed to secure a fantastic appointment for a potential £280,000 contract. Great start.

March at Advance Group.

March at Advance Group

We’ve officially entered quarter two of 2019. A new year (business wise), new ventures and new starters in the Advance office. We’re not quite sure how time has flown by at such speed. Time flies when you’re having fun, as they say. We’ve had a phenomenal first quarter of the year and things are continuing to build and grow rapidly.


Advance TM Group have had a very busy month. With four construction industry events to attend and several meetings we’ve certainly been travelling around a fair bit throughout March. First up we had the Futurebuild event which was busy as always, later in the month we visited the UK Concrete Show, the RCI Show and the Homebuilding and Renovating Show all Midlands based events.

In the office we also took part in pancake day much to the delight of the staff. Our fantastic team leader Lisa went above and beyond to make pancakes for the whole team which everyone appreciated hugely.

We also celebrated a great first quarter with a very tasty Wok & Go for the whole team during the month. It went down a treat and we also had the Mother’s Day Incentive running at the end of the month to get the team working hard and competing for some great prizes.


The Director himself celebrated his birthday this month. Mike Whitfield celebrated his 39th birthday in style with banners and balloons and a nice bottle of something to savour during his last year in his thirties.

The office expanded rapidly over the past month, so we’re pleased to introduce the newest two members of the team to you all.

Both Josh Walker and Ellie Manford have hit the ground running with our campaigns and we’re certain they’ll be a fantastic addition to the Advance Group team.

Advance Group also have some exciting business news as they have partnered with a new media company, The Concrete Jungle. Already one of the fastest growing UK construction blogs they’re planning to launch their flagship sustainable construction magazine this year and we are very excited to be a part of that.

We’ve got plenty to be getting on with this month. Between new campaigns, clients and employees as well as exciting business ventures. Advance TM Group are growing fast, working with new companies, taking on new staff and venturing into new areas of the construction industry.

February at Advance Group

Following on from a great start to the year and plenty of good news amoungst the office. February has been equally as exciting for Advance TM Group. 


We attended our first industry event of the year, Safe Start 2019. Networking with relevant construction businesses and discussing how we can help support their growth plans and business development needs for the year. We also travelled around a little this month heading to Coventry, Leicester, Telford and even down to Bristol.

February was the month of love, our wonderful team leader Lisa set a fantastic Valentines Incentive for the team. This involved winning lots of prizes and being in the running for a cracking hamper at the end of the challenge.

The office was also lucky enough to have a few visitors throughout the month. We were overjoyed to finally meet baby Bobby and the entire office got to steal a cuddle or two. Gus the Pug also made an exciting appearance, tail wagging and ready to eat the table tennis balls as they flew past.


We had a number of exciting occasions in February. From promotions and birthdays to pamper hampers and new coffee machines, it’s been an eventful month.

First up we had a couple of promotions within the business. Mike Healey was promoted from Account Manager to Business Development Associate after all his hard work helping the business development team over the past couple of months. Arron Street was also promoted from Account Manager to Senior Account Manager. Congratulations to you both, very well deserved.

Birthday wise, Chris Piercy celebrated turning thirty-five in the office and we had one other birthday during the month. We had a Valentines incentive running from the first of the month until the day of love itself. This meant the team continued to work hard at hitting their targets to move up the board and be in with a chance of winning the amazing pamper hamper put together by Lisa, our team leader.

We’d also like to welcome a new member to the team, Mike O’Connell who has joined us and has hit the ground running with our client’s campaigns.

With a great start to the new year and plenty of news, events and plans for 2019, here at Advance Group we have decided to start sharing snippets of our everyday office life with you.

We thought it may be a good idea to start with a refresh of what we do here to keep you up to date.

Advance TM Group are construction specific telemarketers, lead generators and appointment setters. Based in Cheshire, with years of experience across the team we are already smashing this year’s goals and are busier than we could have imagined just a few short years ago when we began.

Between announcements, events planned and places visited for meetings with potential clients there is a lot going on this year and we cannot wait to get stuck in.


So far this month we have attended eleven new business meetings all over the country. This has led to our business development team visiting Berkshire, Staffordshire, Birmingham and even venturing up to Scotland on the odd occasion.

Some more exciting news was that our brand new website also launched on the 7th January and we got to feature in the UK’s new construction blog The Concrete Jungle.

We’ve also started putting together our content plan for the next 12 months so keep an eye out for offers,services and anything else that may be of interest if you’re looking for support with your business development.


We’ve had a busy month in January with team members birthdays. First up we had one of our Account Managers, Arron who celebrated his twenty ninth birthday. Next up was our Business Development Manager Mike who celebrated turning thirty one. Lastly this month for birthdays was another of our Account Managers Georgia who celebrated her twenty third birthday.

We have another lovely piece of news to announce this month as one of our Account Managers Beth Fitzgerald gave birth to a little baby boy. We’ve included a few pictures of the baby shower we threw in the office and of course we had a guess the birth date sweep. The winner of the sweep was Mike Dunn our Business Development Manager, who kindly gave his winnings to Beth for the baby. 

Last but not least, we were pleased to present a certificate to one of our team members, they impressively managed to achieve 100 percent attendance in 2018.

Our Account Manager Arron Street didn’t take a single day off sick last year and so was rewarded with a bonus, a certificate and the envy of the office for managing to avoid germs for a whole 12 months.

We’ve been preparing for this year’s construction events and the first we’ll be attending is Safe Start 2019 on 14th February 2019. Mike – “A personal highlight for me was the start of a new trial with a client, the meeting took place early January against two competitors. Feedback from the client was that they liked us due to our passion for the business and what we wanted to achieve. The trial began two weeks after the initial meeting so a really fast turnaround for us and the team at Advance Group. Well done to those that were involved in that and well done to our Account Manager Charlie who has secured three highly qualified appointments on day one of the campaign trial.”

Simon – “My highlight for January is how pleased I am that we saw all the hard work that one of our longest serving team members Lisa has put in. Not only has she now been rewarded with promotion and additional responsibilities but she has now taken on a leadership role within the business. As part of the management team Lisa helps to contribute to the decision making, targets and focus of Advance Group. Extremely happy she has stayed and grown with us since the early days. Well done and thank you Lisa!”

A little update of our other business as there are a lot of exciting plans going on for CGG at the moment. There is a new focus on the company beginning this month with four client meetings booked in, one existing client with Advance and three new enquiries that came in. We also have a lot of marketing activity planned, to include e-campaigns and are actively developing the business moving in to 2019.
