Six months into 2019 with Advance TM Group

2019 Six months in with Advance TM Group

How are we already halfway through the year? We’ve had a busy first half of the year and time really has flown in the office.

With numerous new team members coming on board and several new business ventures. Advance have smashed the year so far. We thought it would be a good time to reintroduce you to our services as it’s not too late to start looking at upping your business development. Plus here’s a look at what we’ve been up to so far this year plus a round up of May at Advance Group.

Company News/May Update

Where do we start? Since January began, we’ve taken on a whole host of new team members. Sadly, we’ve also said goodbye to two of our longer-term employees although we wish both Mike Dunn and Arron Street all the best in their new adventures.

Our ventures include a media partnership with The Concrete Jungle, a new challenge with JST Contracting and another exciting opportunity that will no doubt become clear very soon.

The month of May saw a group of us head down to the FIT Show and it was a great day out. Plenty of networking, meeting up with new clients and old, and a good look around the fenestration industries key players this year.

For CGG (Construction Growth Generator) the two account managers taken on during April are both working incredibly hard, generating leads and pricing enquiries for clients.

"All progress takes place outside the comfort zone."

April at Advance Group

April at Advance Group

Advance TM Group have had another great month. Although we’ve not ventured to too many events during April, we’ve had a fair few meetings around the UK and we’ve been keeping busy in the office.

We had an Easter incentive running and there was a lot of excitement around. The Easter bunny (Directors) even made sure that every staff member went home with a treat before the bank holiday arrived.

Announcements

Once again as the business begins to expand rapidly, the Advance team has continued to grow. Following our new recruits in March, April saw the addition of George Farrell and Steve Steele as account managers and settling in to the team.

Following the partnership with The Concrete Jungle as a media partner within the construction industry, Advance TM Group have been busy with more ventures. This time in the form of a new business JST Contracting.

Looking forward

Advance Group are growing, our team work hard, and we can only see success in the future. We’ll be heading to the FIT Show on 22nd May so feel free to email us if you’d like to use the time to chat about our services.

We’ve got some exciting, important meetings and discussions this month and we’ll be able to share those with you in the near future.

"It is better to fail in originality than to succeed in imitation."

Director highlights

Both Mike and Simon shared the highlights for April as they were both involved in a few big changes last month.

The venture with The Concrete Jungle is well underway and the development of the website and sustainable construction magazine has well and truly begun.

Alongside that a new business venture in the form of JST Contracting, a partnership with the directors of Construction Growth Generator and Stuart Terrace of JST. This is an exciting time for the team and all of the businesses within the group.

CCG (Construction Growth Generator)

CCG has continued to grow this month with some great new clients on board. We now have two account managers on the team full time for CGG and between them they’ve already managed to secure a fantastic appointment for a potential £280,000 contract. Great start.

The Concrete Jungle – Latest news…

Here are some of our favourite articles from the website over the past month.

The team at KAM Project Consultants was recently selected by logistics and industrial development company Baytree to provide construction services for the build of a warehouse, which is being hailed as ‘the most sustainable warehouse in the UK’.

The most sustainable warehouse is the UK?

In 2015, King’s College took a different approach. Working with conservation teams and Historic England, London-based specialists Thomann-Hanry® were tasked with cleaning and restoring the Grade I Listed Gibbs’ Building.

Restoring King’s College landmarks to their former glories.

Want to increase your sales in 2019?

Want to increase your sales in 2019?

A key issue within the construction industry is timing. Mostly a case of right time, right place, right contact. It is essential for every business to proactively promote their brand, raise awareness, drive demand and educate potential customers.

Yes, a dedicated sales team is vital to the company’s growth plans however, having the team working on the right opportunities, engaging with decision makers in the right way at the right time is often overlooked.

With the amount of data available to the construction Industry it is becoming increasingly unrealistic to expect a dedicated sales team to cover lead generation, sales and post-sale relationships/support, without one or more of these processes taking a hit. Now is a good time to consider lead generation and sales as two separate areas of business development.

Taking lead generation and giving it a dedicated place within business development allows you to maximise every opportunity, not miss out on key projects but more importantly it frees your sales team from hours of office-based telephony work and puts them in qualified meetings, face to face with key contacts with genuine opportunities to win work.

Advance TM Group are the partners of choice for many companies within the construction industry and built environment. Whether you are a product manufacturer, supplier, service provider or a main contractor we have the knowledge and experience to run an effective telemarketing campaign for you.

Highly recommended by our clients due to our quality over quantity beliefs, experience in the construction sector and our focus to ensure that companies receive a return on investment.

Here are a few of the services that we can offer to support your business this year and assist with increasing your sales in 2019.

·        Appointment scheduling – with our team of experts we aim to book you quality appointments with the right people.

·     CPD Scheduling – Using our extensive list of CPD coordinators within architectural practices throughout the UK, our team can schedule your CPD’s quickly, within the right practices.

·       Lead & Enquiry Generation – Get your sales team in front of key decision makers on live projects at the right time.

·    Market Research – We can assist with your market research, data building and provide your business with valuable information to assist with your sales process.

·      Supply Chain & PQQ support – As you’ll be all too aware, many construction companies use preferred supplier lists and frameworks. Our team of experts can help with securing relevant documents and information to get in front of the right people.

·      Event support – If you’re attending an event and would like to meet with key decision makers for companies attending. Or you have just exhibited at an event and would like to contact the visitors who engaged with you on the day, further developing those relationships. Allow our professionals to get you in the right place, at the right time with full support.

If you would like to find out more about how we can assist your business with any construction lead generation or telemarketing needs, please contact us today on 0151 357 2166 or feel free to email on info@advance-tm.co.uk and we will be in touch.

March at Advance Group.

March at Advance Group

We’ve officially entered quarter two of 2019. A new year (business wise), new ventures and new starters in the Advance office. We’re not quite sure how time has flown by at such speed. Time flies when you’re having fun, as they say. We’ve had a phenomenal first quarter of the year and things are continuing to build and grow rapidly.

Updates

Advance TM Group have had a very busy month. With four construction industry events to attend and several meetings we’ve certainly been travelling around a fair bit throughout March. First up we had the Futurebuild event which was busy as always, later in the month we visited the UK Concrete Show, the RCI Show and the Homebuilding and Renovating Show all Midlands based events.

In the office we also took part in pancake day much to the delight of the staff. Our fantastic team leader Lisa went above and beyond to make pancakes for the whole team which everyone appreciated hugely.

We also celebrated a great first quarter with a very tasty Wok & Go for the whole team during the month. It went down a treat and we also had the Mother’s Day Incentive running at the end of the month to get the team working hard and competing for some great prizes.

Announcements

The Director himself celebrated his birthday this month. Mike Whitfield celebrated his 39th birthday in style with banners and balloons and a nice bottle of something to savour during his last year in his thirties.

The office expanded rapidly over the past month, so we’re pleased to introduce the newest two members of the team to you all.

Both Josh Walker and Ellie Manford have hit the ground running with our campaigns and we’re certain they’ll be a fantastic addition to the Advance Group team.

Advance Group also have some exciting business news as they have partnered with a new media company, The Concrete Jungle. Already one of the fastest growing UK construction blogs they’re planning to launch their flagship sustainable construction magazine this year and we are very excited to be a part of that.

“A creative man is motivated by the desire to achieve, not by the desire to beat others.”

Looking forward…

We’ve got plenty to be getting on with this month. Between new campaigns, clients and employees as well as exciting business ventures. Advance TM Group are growing fast, working with new companies, taking on new staff and venturing into new areas of the construction industry.

We also wrote an article on “How to choose your construction telemarketing partner” and plan to write some more informative articles over the next few months to ensure your company makes the best business development decisions. Keep an eye out for those on social media.

It’s an exciting time to be a part of the Advance team that’s for sure.

Director highlights

Mike – My highlight this month was our Business Development Manager attending the UK’s biggest construction event, Futurebuild, and networking with our existing clients and potential new partners. We’ve had a great response off the back of this and look forward to attending more industry events over the next year.

Simon – My highlight this month was the incredible work the Advance team have done. Our client retention and past clients returning is a testament to the team’s ability and skills and our Team Manager Rich’s continuous hard work.

CGG (Construction Growth Generator)

CGG has continued to grow this month with some great new clients on board. Some articles of interest from the CGG blog this month…

The Concrete Jungle – Latest news…

As mentioned above we’re now partnering with The Concrete Jungle, a UK construction news blog and soon to be sustainable construction magazine.

Here are some of our favourite articles from the website over the past month.

Following results from a recent survey and supporting data, Anjni Varsani, Cost Manager at TowerEight provides an insight into why the UK Construction Industry needs to call for action to overcome the lengthening skills gap:

Can the UK Construction sector overcome the lengthening skills gap?

When it comes to construction there’s a similarly special relationship which is vital to get right if the project is to be a success. The bond between architects and engineers is a strong one and it’s this interaction and collaboration between the two which allows building plans to be created, refined and then become a reality.

Choosing your construction telemarketing partner.

Choosing your construction telemarketing partner.

Choosing to outsource your telemarketing and lead generation can be a tough decision to make. A lot of businesses believe that they can do this themselves and utilise their staff to perform to key performance indicators, pressure and unachievable sales targets.

The benefits of outsourcing your construction telemarketing needs can be huge. With a dedicated team of construction industry experts and a specific focus on the built environment. Advance Group can provide return on investment, quality appointments and generate qualified construction leads.

When you reach the decision to outsource your needs, we’ve put together some tips on how to choose your construction telemarketing partner. Here are five things to look out for when meeting with potential partners.

Quality

Quality is an important reason when considering who to choose as your business’s telemarketing partner. A company that prides itself on providing quality over quantity is a company that understands proven results and doesn’t practice outdated key performance indicators. There is so much more to a highly qualified appointment, then a fully exhausted spreadsheet and no clear results at the end of the telemarketing campaign.

Experience

It’s also important to think about the experience of the business. There are plenty of companies out there willing to offer similar services. However, there are some questions to think about, are they construction specific? Do they have staff that have worked within the construction industry exclusively for over ten years? Do they take the time to train their staff on the construction process? Allowing for each member of the team to have the skills and relevant knowledge to carry out campaigns for construction companies.

Values

We believe that company values are an essential part of the workplace. Here at Advance Group we are incredibly proud of our values. They underpin who we are and what we do as a business. Working together, collaborating, sharing our knowledge and expertise to deliver the best solutions. Plus making sure that as a business we treat others with respect. Being clear, open and working with full transparency to our clients and respecting both our clients and our employees fully.

Recommendations

It’s also important to recognise those with success stories. Speak with similar businesses and see how they’ve got on with a construction telemarketing company. When meeting with a potential lead generation partner ask for testimonials and examples with proven results. As a business we are proud of the results we have achieved for past and existing clients. As mentioned in above we also offer full transparency so are happy to provide recommendations, testimonials and case studies with the work we can do during our meeting.

Between these four tips you should be able to work out whether your potential construction telemarketing partner is the right one for you.

February at Advance Group.

February at Advance Group

Following on from a great start to the year and plenty of good news amoungst the office. February has been equally as exciting for Advance TM Group.

Updates

We attended our first industry event of the year, Safe Start 2019. Networking with relevant construction businesses and discussing how we can help support their growth plans and business development needs for the year. We also travelled around a little this month heading to Coventry, Leicester, Telford and even down to Bristol.

February was the month of love, our wonderful team leader Lisa set a fantastic Valentines Incentive for the team. This involved winning lots of prizes and being in the running for a cracking hamper at the end of the challenge.

The office was also lucky enough to have a few visitors throughout the month. We were overjoyed to finally meet baby Bobby and the entire office got to steal a cuddle or two. Gus the Pug also made an exciting appearance, tail wagging and ready to eat the table tennis balls as they flew past.

Announcements

We had a number of exciting occasions in February. From promotions and birthdays to pamper hampers and new coffee machines, it’s been an eventful month.

First up we had a couple of promotions within the business. Mike Healey was promoted from Account Manager to Business Development Associate after all his hard work helping the business development team over the past couple of months. Arron Street was also promoted from Account Manager to Senior Account Manager. Congratulations to you both, very well deserved.

Birthday wise, Chris Piercy celebrated turning thirty-five in the office and we had one other birthday during the month. We had a Valentines incentive running from the first of the month until the day of love itself. This meant the team continued to work hard at hitting their targets to move up the board and be in with a chance of winning the amazing pamper hamper put together by Lisa, our team leader.

We’d also like to welcome a new member to the team, Mike O’Connell who has joined us and has hit the ground running with our client’s campaigns.

“Be fair before being generous, be human before being fair.”

Looking forward…

We’ve got an extremely busy month ahead. If you read out latest blog post about “The Importance of construction events like Futurebuild. Then you’ll be aware that Advance will be heading to a fair few construction events this month. We’ll be heading to Futurebuild this week as well as the RCI Show, The Homebuilding and Renovations Show and the UK Concrete Show so our business development team will be kept very busy.

JANUARY AT ADVANCE GROUP

With a great start to the new year and plenty of news, events and plans for 2019, here at Advance Group we have decided to start sharing snippets of our everyday office life with you.

We thought it may be a good idea to start with a refresh of what we do here to keep you up to date.

Updates

So far this month we have attended eleven new business meetings all over the country. This has led to our business development team visiting Berkshire, Staffordshire, Birmingham and even venturing up to Scotland on the odd occasion.

Some more exciting news was that our brand new website also launched on the 7th January and we got to feature in the UK’s new construction blog The Concrete Jungle.

We’ve also started putting together our content plan for the next 12 months so keep an eye out for offers, services and anything else that may be of interest if you’re looking for support with your business development.

We have another lovely piece of news to announce this month as one of our Account Managers Beth Fitzgerald gave birth to a little baby boy. We’ve included a few pictures of the baby shower we threw in the office and of course we had a guess the birth date sweep. The winner of the sweep was Mike Dunn our Business Development Manager, who kindly gave his winnings to Beth for the baby.

Last but not least, we were pleased to present a certificate to one of our team members, they impressively managed to achieve 100 percent attendance in 2018.

Our Account Manager Arron Street didn’t take a single day off sick last year and so was rewarded with a bonus, a certificate and the envy of the office for managing to avoid germs for a whole 12 months.

Looking forward…

We’ve been preparing for this year’s construction events and the first we’ll be attending is Safe Start 2019 on 14th February 2019. A couple of team members will be in attendance so we can arrange for them to come to you.

We’ve also got plans to attend Futurebuild, The Homebuilding & Renovating Show and the RCI Show in March so we’ve got plenty to keep us busy. More to be discussed on those events in the February round up.

Director highlights

Mike – “A personal highlight for me was the start of a new trial with a client, the meeting took place early January against two competitors. Feedback from the client was that they liked us due to our passion for the business and what we wanted to achieve. The trial began two weeks after the initial meeting so a really fast turnaround for us and the team at Advance Group. Well done to those that were involved in that and well done to our Account Manager Charlie who has secured three highly qualified appointments on day one of the campaign trial.”

Simon – “My highlight for January is how pleased I am that we saw all the hard work that one of our longest serving team members Lisa has put in. Not only has she now been rewarded with promotion and additional responsibilities but she has now taken on a leadership role within the business. As part of the management team Lisa helps to contribute to the decision making, targets and focus of Advance Group. Extremely happy she has stayed and grown with us since the early days. Well done and thank you Lisa!”

CGG (Construction Growth Generator)

A little update of our other business as there are a lot of exciting plans going on for CGG at the moment. There is a new focus on the company beginning this month with four client meetings booked in, one existing client with Advance and three new enquiries that came in. We also have a lot of marketing activity planned, to include e-campaigns and are actively developing the business moving in to 2019.

Stay tuned for more exciting news and business updates next month!
