Company News

August was yet another busy month for Advance Group. The team has been growing steadily over the year and we’ve continued to see great results for our clients by the account managers. 

Advance have also been undergoing some serious changes, growing, expanding and building on the success of the past three years. We’ve secured more exciting client trials that are beginning September so plenty for the team to be cracking on with in the office this month. 

We also had new banners/promotional material put together for our social media channels for the rest of the year so make sure you’re following our social media channels to see those.​

We’ve also started putting together a regular newsletter with our top projects with appointment booked or enquiries generate, construction projects to watch and little business updates, you can subscribe to that here for insider information on upcoming projects in the UK.

In the office 

Our Business Development Associate, Mike Healey celebrated his twenty seventh birthday before sadly deciding to leave the business at the end of the month, to join a new company and take on new challenges and responsibilities within the construction industry. Advance Group wish him the best of luck in his new role.

One of our Account Managers Georgia Quirk also celebrated her one-year anniversary since joining the business, so congratulations to Georgia and here’s hoping many more successful years to come.

Some big changes this month mean that our Director Highlight is the announcement of an exciting new team member. Our new Sales Director, Guy Statham will start on 1st October and we cannot wait to welcome him to the company and get started.

How are we in August already?

Company News

July was a busy month for Advance Group. We had numerous incentives running for the account managers and the team performed really well once again. Advance have also secured a further four client trials that are beginning in August so plenty for the team to be cracking on with in the office this month. 

In the office we’ve had several birthdays, both senior account manager Max celebrated earlier in the month and Beth, who’s currently on maternity leave. 

One of our newer Account Managers Ellie Manford, was promoted to Senior Account Manager for her continued hard work and dedication to the client accounts she looks after. Very well deserved. 

Director Highlights for July

Our highlight for July was that it was a record month for turnover since incorporation in 2016. Plus August is looking like it’ll be our third biggest month for days booked since we started the business.

It’s July! We’re well and truly into the summer months now, especially these past few weeks when we’ve had to endure a heatwave or two.

Company News

The months of May and June saw the office have a team building day at Escape Rooms in Chester and a cracking Fathers Day incentive with a game of snakes and ladders for the team to get stuck into. 

We’ve had a new member of the team again, Will, an apprentice account manager who has taken everything in his stride and is cracking on with some of our clients already. So well done Will. 

Advance have had numerous meetings across the UK with potential clients and we’re excited to continue growing as we are. Attending industry events and as of July we’re now fully fledged members of the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce. We can’t wait to get stuck in and networking with like minded individuals across the property and construction sector. 

In the office, Wimblepong is underway in honour of Wimbledon and the teams are fighting hard for the glory of best ping pong team at the end of the week. Watch this space for photo/video evidence later in the month or check out our social media channels for live updates through out the week.

Why construction companies don’t use outsourced telemarketing and why they should start considering it.

A couple of months ago we carried out some research on the construction industry and their thoughts on outsourcing telemarketing and lead generation to a construction specific business.

We took to social media to ask companies what they thought about telemarketing, whether they had used lead generation tools in the past and what their reasoning was/or is behind their answers.

Advance Group have put together the results in an infographic and we’ve also decided to share the reasons and what the realities could be if construction companies were to consider outsourcing their telemarketing and lead generation to a construction specific company.

First off, we go through the stats brought to light from the questions we asked regarding new business and lead generation.

70% rely on social media and/or marketing to generate leads, which may come as a surprise to you due to the current impression that the construction industry is behind when it comes to digitalisation.

Surprisingly, only 50% of those that took part use an internal sales team, 40% use or have used lead generation tools in the past, 30% would be willing to consider using outsourced telemarketing and a small proportion (10%) of companies involved in the survey have actually used, or currently use outsourced telemarketing and lead generation companies. 

Here are the results from our recent survey detailing why companies don’t use outsourced telemarketing:

As you can see there are some good reasons for companies not outsourcing their telemarketing. Whatever the reason may be, what needs to be a consideration is that outsourced telemarketing may be the right option for you, yet you have never considered it viable for the above rational.

How are we already halfway through the year? We’ve had a busy first half of the year and time really has flown in the office.

With numerous new team members coming on board and several new business ventures. Advance have smashed the year so far. We thought it would be a good time to reintroduce you to our services as it’s not too late to start looking at upping your business development. Company News/May Update

Where do we start? Since January began, we’ve taken on a whole host of new team members. Sadly, we’ve also said goodbye to two of our longer-term employees although we wish both Mike Dunn and Arron Street all the best in their new adventures.

Our ventures include a media partnership with The Concrete Jungle, a new challenge with JST Contracting and another exciting opportunity that will no doubt become clear very soon.

The month of May saw a group of us head down to the FIT Show and it was a great day out. Plenty of networking, meeting up with new clients and old, and a good look around the fenestration industries key players this year.

For CGG (Construction Growth Generator) the two account managers taken on during April are both working incredibly hard, generating leads and pricing enquiries for clients.

April at Advance Group

April at Advance Group

Advance TM Group have had another great month. Although we’ve not ventured to too many events during April, we’ve had a fair few meetings around the UK and we’ve been keeping busy in the office.

We had an Easter incentive running and there was a lot of excitement around. The Easter bunny (Directors) even made sure that every staff member went home with a treat before the bank holiday arrived.

Announcements

Once again as the business begins to expand rapidly, the Advance team has continued to grow. Following our new recruits in March, April saw the addition of George Farrell and Steve Steele as account managers and settling in to the team.

Following the partnership with The Concrete Jungle as a media partner within the construction industry, Advance TM Group have been busy with more ventures. This time in the form of a new business JST Contracting.

Looking forward

Both Mike and Simon shared the highlights for April as they were both involved in a few big changes last month.

The venture with The Concrete Jungle is well underway and the development of the website and sustainable construction magazine has well and truly begun.

Alongside that a new business venture in the form of JST Contracting, a partnership with the directors of Construction Growth Generator and Stuart Terrace of JST. This is an exciting time for the team and all of the businesses within the group.

CCG (Construction Growth Generator)

CCG has continued to grow this month with some great new clients on board. We now have two account managers on the team full time for CGG and between them they’ve already managed to secure a fantastic appointment for a potential £280,000 contract. Great start.

March at Advance Group.

March at Advance Group

We’ve officially entered quarter two of 2019. A new year (business wise), new ventures and new starters in the Advance office. We’re not quite sure how time has flown by at such speed. Time flies when you’re having fun, as they say. We’ve had a phenomenal first quarter of the year and things are continuing to build and grow rapidly.

Updates

Advance TM Group have had a very busy month. With four construction industry events to attend and several meetings we’ve certainly been travelling around a fair bit throughout March. First up we had the Futurebuild event which was busy as always, later in the month we visited the UK Concrete Show, the RCI Show and the Homebuilding and Renovating Show all Midlands based events.

In the office we also took part in pancake day much to the delight of the staff. Our fantastic team leader Lisa went above and beyond to make pancakes for the whole team which everyone appreciated hugely.

We also celebrated a great first quarter with a very tasty Wok & Go for the whole team during the month. It went down a treat and we also had the Mother’s Day Incentive running at the end of the month to get the team working hard and competing for some great prizes.

Announcements

The Director himself celebrated his birthday this month. Mike Whitfield celebrated his 39th birthday in style with banners and balloons and a nice bottle of something to savour during his last year in his thirties.

The office expanded rapidly over the past month, so we’re pleased to introduce the newest two members of the team to you all.

Both Josh Walker and Ellie Manford have hit the ground running with our campaigns and we’re certain they’ll be a fantastic addition to the Advance Group team.

Advance Group also have some exciting business news as they have partnered with a new media company, The Concrete Jungle. Already one of the fastest growing UK construction blogs they’re planning to launch their flagship sustainable construction magazine this year and we are very excited to be a part of that.

Looking forward…

We’ve got plenty to be getting on with this month. Between new campaigns, clients and employees as well as exciting business ventures. Advance TM Group are growing fast, working with new companies, taking on new staff and venturing into new areas of the construction industry.
